Keyworker Services for Children & Young People
We’re here to support you during times of challenge or crisis, you are not alone. Our keyworkers are here to assist you in accessing the support you may need.
How a keyworker can support you…
We know every young person’s needs are different, this is why our keyworkers will work with you to ensure your needs are understood and met. Your keyworker will:
Listen to what is important to you in life and your experiences.
Offer support that is personal to you.
Work hard to understand what is working for you and where things could be improved.
Work with you to find the best way to work together – face to face, online and/or via telephone.
Work with you on where best to meet. This could be at home, in hospital, in the community, at school or college or another convenient place you feel safe.
Work alongside you and your parents/carers to ensure you have the right support in place.
If you are in a mental health hospital, your keyworker can work alongside you and your parents/carers. We will work with professionals and contribute towards your support. We can be involved in planning your journey towards leaving hospital and will share your views about your experiences and needs.
Come to meetings about your care, education, and support (if you would like the keyworker to) and can support you to attend so that your voice is heard.
Promote you are included in decisions about your care and support and identify help and support in your community and help you access things you enjoy.
Support you to share with other professionals if you are unhappy about your care/support and look for improvements.
